Our curriculum is bursting with colour, creativity, and discovery! Children grow through a rich blend of English Language, Mathematics, Chinese Language, Music & Movement, Thematic Learning, Character Building, Motor Skills Development & Gymnastics, and an optional K-Plus STEAM Programme that inspires young innovators.

English Language
Our English journey is filled with stories, songs, and smiles! Through a step-by-step approach, children build the skills to become confident, independent readers. Phonics lies at the heart of our programme, supported by sight word recognition and fun, hands-on activities that bring language to life.
At the Nursery level, little learners are introduced to phonics using playful, multisensory methods—learning sounds through stories, rhymes, and games that make every lesson come alive.
In K1, children begin decoding words, blending sounds, and building simple words on their own. Each success fuels their confidence and love for reading and writing.
By K2, they’re ready to take the next leap! We introduce grammar, expand phonics skills, and encourage creative writing, reading comprehension, and language-based problem solving.
Strong English skills open doors to learning in every subject. That’s why our programme focuses on helping children master the language with joy — so they’re ready for school and ready for life!
Mathematics
Math at JCK is hands-on, lively, and full of discovery! Children explore numbers, patterns, and shapes through fun activities that make learning meaningful. Using manipulatives and learning aids, they build strong number sense—the foundation for a lifelong love of math.
Through play and exploration, little ones measure, sort, compare, and classify, learning to see math all around them. These early skills develop thinking and reasoning abilities that set the stage for future learning in algebra and geometry.
By K2, children are ready to tackle bigger challenges — grouping and separating numbers, exploring fractions, addition, subtraction, and multiplication, and applying what they learn to real-life tasks like telling time and counting money. Every step is filled with excitement, curiosity, and the joy of discovering how math makes sense of their world!
Chinese Language
Learning Mandarin at JCK is a lively, colourful adventure! Through a thematic approach, children enjoy exploring the language with art and craft, singing, reading, writing, and performances that make every lesson fun and meaningful. Using in-house materials and Chinese readers, vocabulary grows naturally as children listen, speak, and recognise characters with growing confidence.
Writing begins with simple strokes and gradually builds into full characters and sentences—each milestone celebrated with pride! At the K1 and K2 levels, Hanyu Pinyin (汉语拼音) is introduced to support vocabulary growth, while Ting Xie (听写) activities boost memory and listening skills.
Most importantly, children learn to use Mandarin with joy, expressing themselves through stories, songs, and everyday conversations.
Thematic Learning
Learning doesn’t stop at the classroom door — it bursts out into the world around us! Each term, children dive into a new theme that sparks their curiosity, exploring topics about themselves, their community, and the environment. Using an inquiry-based approach, children ask their own questions, investigate ideas, and discover answers through play and exploration. Guided by their teachers, they learn to think deeply, work together, and take ownership of their learning—all while having lots of fun!
Every theme is brought to life with art and craft projects, hands-on experiments, and exciting field trips that connect lessons to real-world experiences. Whether they’re learning about nature, people, or the planet, children grow in awareness, creativity, and appreciation for the world God has made.
Character Building
At JCK, growing good hearts is just as important as growing bright minds! Our character-building programme helps children develop strong values and moral courage, creating a beautiful balance between academic growth and personal development.
Through daily Assembly and weekly Chapel sessions, children hear inspiring Bible stories and learn from heroes of faith who model values like kindness, honesty, respect, love, and forgiveness. These lessons come alive through storytelling, sharing, and reflection—helping little ones understand what it means to care for others and make good choices.
Every school day becomes a chance to build strength of character and nurture children who not only learn well, but live well—with joy, compassion, and faith guiding their way.
Music & Movement
It’s all smiles, rhythm, and giggles in our Music and Movement sessions! Children sing, dance, and move freely while developing coordination, balance, and confidence. Through fun, multi-sensory experiences, they explore musical concepts like rhythm, pitch, tempo, and beat in ways that keep them moving and grooving.
With plenty of chances to play percussion instruments, express themselves, and work together, children build focus, listening skills, and teamwork. Exposure to music from around the world also opens their hearts to new sounds and cultures — because at JCK, every beat brings joy and learning together!
Gymnastics - Motor Skills Development
Little hands, big moves! Children strengthen their fine motor skills through art, craft, and play-based activities that build hand-eye coordination and dexterity—all while having fun. Outdoor play brings out the giggles and energy as they run, jump, and move with purpose, developing spatial, body, and movement awareness through guided games and activities.
The highlight of our motor skills curriculum is our weekly Gymnastics sessions with friendly coaches from Beary Fun Gym! These sessions keep children active and confident, training both mind and body through fun exercises that boost balance, coordination, and focus.

The K-Plus STEAM Programme
Curious minds, creative hands! Our optional K-Plus STEAM Programme (with an additional school fee) is an exciting add-on to the 3-hour core programme for Nursery, K1, and K2 children. Designed around Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math, it turns everyday learning into amazing discoveries!
Through fun projects, experiments, research, and show-and-tell, children explore how things work, solve problems, and make connections to the world around them. This joyful, hands-on experience builds imagination, teamwork, and confidence—nurturing the future-ready skills they’ll need to shine in the 21st century!
